Autopia’s mechanics have experience working on most of makes and models of vehicles that are on the road today. From popular vehicles like the Ford Taurus, Nissan Altima, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, to sports utility vehicles and family minivans like the Saturn VUE, Hyndai Sante Fe and Chevy Trail Blazer — we work on them all.

Light pickup trucks are on the roads today in record numbers. Trucks like the Ford F150, Toyota Tacoma or Chevy S-10 are as likely to be owned by a family for personal use as they are for contractors or other business uses. As a result, Autopia has invested in the training, tools and equipment needed to maintain these vehicles with the same degree of expertise as autos.

The distinction between Domestic and Foreign autos is less clear today than it once was. What we think of as a “European car” might be made in Europe or South Africa or even the U.S. while “American cars” are being manufactured in Canada or Mexico; Japanese-owned auto

companies build vehicles on U.S. soil with parts imported from China, and so on.

When we talk about foreign cars, we’re often thinking BMW, Porsche, Audi, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Saab, VW, Mini Cooper, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Kia or Toyota – but it’s more of an acknowledgment of their historical, design-roots than their VIN.

Further complicating the language of foreign v.s. domestic cars is the fact many people use the word “Import”

interchangeably with “Classic.” It’s true that many classic cars were made overseas, legendary racers and

motorsport autos like the Citroën, MG, Ferrarri, Triumph or Lotus, so are rightly called imports. But many classic cars are American made; among them are the famous Muscle Cars of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, Street Rods, Concept Cars, Racers and Vintage Collectibles from Ford, Chevy, GM, and AMC.
